Celebrate With the Self-Realization Fellowship
Paramahansa Yogananda
The Self-Realization Fellowship (SRF), founded by Paramahansa Yogananda in 1920, is dedicated to sharing the teachings of Kriya Yoga and meditation for spiritual awakening. This month, they’ll honor Yogananda’s birthday with two special online events enabling individuals worldwide to celebrate Yogananda’s teachings of spiritual awakening and self-realization.
The Paramahansa Yogananda Birthday Commemoration Service will take place at noon on January 5, 2025. This sacred online service will be led by an SRF monastic and is open to all. It will be streamed in English, with services in other languages available through SRF’s website.
Following this, a Commemorative Six-Hour Meditation will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on January 11, 2025. Conducted by SRF and the Yogoda Satsanga Society of India (YSS) members, this meditation will be streamed live through the SRF Online Meditation Center, with an intermission midway. The event will be available for on-demand viewing until 1 a.m. on January 27, 2025.
These events will reflect on the spiritual legacy of Paramahansa Yogananda and deepen the viewer’s connection to the practice of Kriya Yoga. SRF’s mission is to help individuals realize their soul’s potential and achieve lasting peace, joy and love.
The SRF has 500-plus temples, retreats, ashrams and meditation centers worldwide offering all interested seekers the opportunity to experience the power of group meditations, focused retreat programs, inspirational services and to share in spiritual fellowship.
