Celebrate and Enjoy New England’s Local Food
The 14th Boston Local Food Festival, presented by the Sustainable Business Network of Massachusetts and known as the city’s premier food event, will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on September 15, 2024 (rain date September 22, 2024) at the Rose Garden Greenway, in Boston. Attendees will savor the best flavors of Massachusetts and beyond, learn new recipes and techniques from experts, cheer on local chefs as they battle it out in the fan-favorite Seafood Throw-Down and much more.
Many of the vendors are new, up-and-coming food makers and local farms, incorporating locally grown ingredients. Youngsters can enjoy kid-pleasing activities in the Family Fun Zone.
The festival is a zero-waste affair, diverting at least 90 percent of their waste each year and offsetting all of their energy use. It focuses on composting and recycling, and makes sure to leave the stunning Greenway space clean and beautiful. Due to the event’s nature, remember to bring a reusable water bottle and shopping bags.
Free admission. Location: Rose Kennedy Greenway, Atlantic Ave., Boston, MA. For more information about the Sustainable Business Network of Massachusetts, visit sbnmass.org. For more information about the Boston Local Food Festival, visit BostonLocalFoodFestival.org.
