Providing Non-Toxic Beauty Since 2011
Flipp, a plant-based salon and apothecary,
located in Providence, Rhode Island, with a focus on a complete approach to
self-care, is celebrating 13 years in business.
“Our little business has evolved in many
ways over the years. Some foundational principles still and always will remain,
such as our ethos and philosophy around creating, and being a space that is
free from toxicity,” assures owner Jo-Anna Cassino. “We have always and will
always use plant-based and botanically based products, support quality Indie
brands with a strong ethos, and aim to create an environment that feels like
respite.”
“We are continuing our evolution with some
advanced classes on cutting and coloring, and will be hosting some amazing
masters in our industry this year,” notes Cassino.
More than a salon that uses the latest in
nontoxic hair and skin beauty for optimum results without harsh chemicals,
Flipp is an upbeat, positive space that also showcases rotating artwork and
hosts live music nights.
Botanic Providence, Flipp’s sister shop,
located at 105 Wickenden Street, is currently creating new in-house hair care
and skin care products, plus seasonal supportive tea blends that customers can
sip during appointments. Cassino shares that new services will be added soon as
well.
