Herbstalk Returns to Greater Boston in June
After a
pause of a few years, the beloved herbal event, Herbstalk, is returning from 9
a.m. to 5:30 p.m., June 1 and 2, 2024, at The Center of the Arts at the Armory, in
Somerville, Massachusetts. In a welcoming and supportive environment, area
herbalists, farmers, medicine-makers, teachers and artists will share their
knowledge, products and passion through indoor and outdoor highly accessible
classes related to herbalism and plants, holistic well-being, social justice,
ecological gardening and community connectedness; and a marketplace showcasing
local, handmade herbal goods and whole-plant products made by local herbalists,
artisans and small businesses will also be offered.
Black
Indigenous People of Color-led classes, art and healing services, supported by
the Somerville Arts Council’s SomArt Space Program, will highlight the knowledge
and wisdom of the organization’s teachers, artists and healers.
Herbstalk
is a community conference and herbal gathering that has been bringing together
participants from across New England since 2012, fostering community learning,
sharing and collaboration. Their purpose lies in raising awareness about our
deep interconnections with each other and the natural world.
