Vipassana Meditation Sessions at JP Centre Yoga
The Boston Center for Contemplative
Practice (BCCP) will host three meditation sessions —Awakening
Insight: Discovering the Nature of Mind and Consciousness through
Vipassana—from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on November 27, December 4 and 11, 2023, at JP Centre
Yoga, in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts, and via Zoom with each session recorded
and available the following week. As vipassana is a Pali term meaning “insight”
or “seeing clearly”, participants will explore the nature of reality,
themselves and the world plus the concepts of emptiness and impermanence and
how they relate to the experience of suffering and freedom from suffering.
“We support
you on your path of healing and wellness,” says Noel Coakley, a meditation teacher and psychotherapist who founded BCCP in 2017. The
center, now located at 11 Kent Street in Brookline Village, is based on the
intersection of meditation, yoga and psychology and remains a space without
affiliation to any one particular tradition or path.
“As a
collaborative of holistic professionals, practitioners and teachers, we meet a
broad spectrum of hearts and minds. Within skillful relationships and a safe
space, we provide support for the whole being—mind, body and spirit,” affirms
Coakley. Beginners and experienced participants are invited to attend this and
other BCCP events.
Cost: $110. Payment plans and tiered pricing is
available. Location:
670 Centre St., Jamaica Plain, MA. For
