The Sobruary Challenge with NamaStay Sober
NamaStay
Sober is holding its fourth annual Sobruary (Sober February) Challenge. Whether
someone is already in recovery, sober-curious or just looking to swap a misused
habit for something healthy like meditation or yoga, Nama- Stay has resources
that can help and encourage anyone interested to participate in the Sobruary
Challenge alongside their community this year.
Starting
February 1, individuals will be invited to
let go of a habitual pattern and mindfully implement a new, healthy one. This
could mean taking a break from drinking, fast food, Netflix binges, a toxic
relationship or anything else that they have misused or abused and replace it
with a healthy habit like meditation or yoga.
Teaming up with Thropic and Lululemon,
NamaStay Sober is offering daily virtual classes—yoga, meditation and
fitness—and community conversations along with Friday night virtual events that
include a DJ set, a mindful night in, movie night and trivia to support
everyone throughout the challenge.
NamaStay Sober is a nonprofit
organization founded in 2015 by Nico Longo after the loss of a friend to opioid
addiction. Based in Massachusetts with community chapters in other states, its
mission is to aid those in recovery by reconnecting their bodies and minds
through affordable yoga, fitness, meditation and wellness-focused community
events.
Cost: Free;
donations welcome. Location: virtual classes. For more information and a calendar
of events, visit NamaStaySober.com.
