Johnson Compounding and Wellness Center (JCWC) is hosting a Red Cross Blood Drive from 1 to 6 p.m., on Monday, September 9, in Waltham. The blood drive is an annual event at the center. “Summertime is a critical season for Red Cross blood banks, so we make sure to host this every year,” says JCWC coowner Stephen Bernardi.

He adds, “With people on vacation, the donations drop and the supply gets critically low. We all need to work together to make sure the supply is adequate for any emergency.” JCWC, a family-owned business, is an accredited compounding pharmacy that specializes in customizing medications to meet the individualized needs of patients. The wellness center has an extensive selection of high-quality nutritional supplements and homeopathic remedies.
