Wendy Nadherny Fachon: Environmental Educator and Host of Story Walking Radio Hour
Wendy
Nadherny Fachon has long been aware of how the current environment affects
people’s health and well-being. When she launched the Story
Walking Radio Hour in June 2019, her objectives were to raise awareness of environmental
problems and explore nature-based solutions. Her
storytelling, as a nature walker and youth educator, and her article-writing
for Natural Awakenings magazine led naturally into environmental education podcast production.
To date, Fachon has produced nearly 50 episodes
and has accumulated more than 200,000 listeners. Her listener community is the
key to growing awareness. Fachon urges all listeners to share favorite
podcasts with friends and family. The Story Walking Radio Hour podcasts are free and can be found on the Dreamvisions
7 Radio Network website, under the Sustainable Living tab.
Most podcasts begin with
sharing an educational story walk, often magically guided by nature. Each story
sets the stage for guest interviews that introduce listeners to innovators and
their solutions to pressing issues. Topics include bionutrition,
mycoremediation, forest gardening and agrohomeopathy. Nature provides beauty,
respite, aromatherapy, herbal and homeopathic remedies, and food to nurture the
body and soul.
Areas of
specialty: Environmental education
and sustainable living podcasts, youth podcasting and voice instruction, online
nature drawing workshops, storytelling and nature walks. She welcomes
invitations to lead Zoom discussions.
Healing/healthy living philosophy: Nature is humanity’s greatest healer; however, nature
requires humanity’s support with her own healing and restoration.
